Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained Serhiy Kostyuk, who is suspected in fraud with illegal trafficking of petroleum products, acting in 2012-2014 in “Kurchenko schemes”. This was reported by Yuriy Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, on his Facebook page.

“We are getting closer and closer towards the announcement of Kurchenko’s verdict,” Lutsenko noted.

“Local customs officers were detained. They gave important testimony regarding the embezzlement scheme which led to about $ 43 million public funds losses,” he wrote.

Prosecutor General also informed that seizure of Odesa oil-processing plant in state ownership is also in the nearest plans.

As it was reported earlier, entrepreneur who organized fake transportation of petroleum products through Odesa region was detained in Dnipro.
