The kidnapped crew of BBC Caribbean is secure. This was reported on Twitter by the Department of Consular Service of Ukraine’s MFA.

"The lives of abducted BBC Caribbean crew members are out of danger, their condition is satisfactory," the message says.

As it was reported by 112.International earlier, one Ukrainian citizen and another seven Russians were kidnapped during the pirate raid on a civilian vessel in the territorial waters of Nigeria.

It is known that the ship departed from Cameroon port "Doala" on February 4 and headed to Las Palmas Port in Spain, where it was to arrive on February 15.

Nigerian consul takes measures to liberate Ukrainian citizen, kidnapped from BBC Caribbean. However, there is no data on the location of abducted persons as of yet.
