In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained three foreigners which had a Kalashnikov rifle in their car. After verification, it was found out that the men were involved in robbery of a man in Kyiv. It is reported by the Metropolitan Police Department of Communications.

Officers of Holosiivskyi district stopped the car, which violated traffic rules. Three foreigners were in the car. During the inspection of the vehicle 40 rounds of ammunition for firearms, 12 rounds of ammunition to the traumatic gun and a Kalashnikov rifle were found inside.

"Inspection revealed that men  - 1969, 1984 and 1995 year of birth - were involved in a robbery in Kyiv: two days ago, they took a bag with documents and credit cards from a man. All of them are currently detained and a decision about measure of restraint is being taken," - a quote from Holosiivskyi district Chief of Police Sergii Kulenko.

In addition, upon detection of weapons and ammunition, criminal proceedings were started under Part 1, Art. 263 (illegal possession of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The seized items were sent for examination. Attackers could face up to seven years in prison.
