Kyivenergo restores electricity for consumers on street in Kyiv

Previously it was suggested that there was a connection between a fire and Yanukovych’s interrogation because the fire occurred near the building of Sviatoshynskyi Court.

The employees of Kyivenergo have fully restored electricity for the consumers who were deprived of electricity due to a fire in cable collector on Zhylianska Street. This was  announced by the press service of the organization on their Facebook page.

Due to the accident in the cable collector on Zhylianska Street in the evening of November 24, 75 houses lost electricity. The organization was trying to restored the electricity almost till midnight.

"Kyivenergo representatives completed all necessary electrical switching for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to safely eliminate the ignition and for maximal recovery of the power supply by 21:00," the statement said.

It is noted that as a result of fire several cable lines with a total length of approximately 400 meters were damaged. Currently, the specialists are preparing for restoration works.

The cause of the accident is being investigated right now.

Earlier it was reported that underground electrical collector was on fire yesterday in Kyiv. Rescue service put the blaze out after 2 hours of nonperformance.
