An underground electrical collector was set ablaze in the downtown of Kyiv on Zhylyanska street. No casualties reported. The collector’s current is 10 000 volt. That made that difficult for the emergency team to extinguish the fire, which made them two hours to wait before acting.
Several buildings were cut off current. The residents are out of danger as the fire went on underground.
The ignition cause is not yet known. There are two versions: cable damage and short circuit. The investigation is to follow.
