Clearing of snow from city streets should take place in specially strengthened mode the following night. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko instructed the responsible services to clear the roads and sidewalks of the city from the snow by Tuesday, January 10. He stated this during today's meeting with the heads of districts, the leadership of "Kyivavtodor", "Kyivpasstrans", "Kyivparktransservice" and heads of district road services, the press service of the official informed.

"At night I checked how the snow removal from the streets in the capital was going. Public utilities are working. But as I went to check without warning, I saw the problems that exist in the work. I instruct all services to deal with the task responsibly. The most important is that by Tuesday, when the work week begins, all streets, highways, sidewalks of the capital were cleared of snow," Klitschko said.

Also, the Kyiv mayor drew attention of all public services that areas near public transport stops, sidewalks must be cleaned in the first place. Snow removal also should take place in particularly enhanced regime the following night. "On Tuesday, Kyiv must return to the daily life. This is the challenge for each of you!" Klitschko concluded.
