“A judge from Kyiv's Darnytsky District Court of Kyiv city Mykola Chaus was put on Interpol international wanted list with the further aim of arrest and extradition to Ukraine,” – message says.
He is suspected of committing a crime pursuant to Part 4 Article 368 of Ukraine's Criminal Code (accepting, offering or promising a bribe).
As reported earlier, agents from NABU in cooperation with agents from the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) discovered Chaus had received a bribe of $ 150 thousand. The money was found in glass jars, which Chaus dug in the yard of his residence.
As it was planned earlier, Chaus investigation by Interpol would start after removal of judicial immunity on September 30. Judge became famous for his decisions against Euromaidan participants as well as criminal case against Hennadiy Korban, head of Ukrop political party.
