The design of the stage for "Eurovision-2017" will be developed by Florian Wieder. Kyiv stage will be the fourth to be developed by Wieder for "Eurovision" song contest. The portfolio of Florian Wieder includes scenes of Eurovision in Dusseldorf, Baku and Vienna, as well as projects such as the talent show "X-Factor" in the UK and the USA and MTV Video Music Awards. It was reported by the press service of National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU).

"I love the idea that lies at the heart of Eurovision. So many different countries and cultures gather to celebrate this event together. It really amazes me. Song Contest is one of the most incredible projects in my career. There are only a few other projects in the world like that. So for me it's an honor to become a scene designer for the show that will be held in Kyiv," the designer said.

Florian Wieder said that his main task is to create a sense of happiness for everyone who will join the Eurovision Song Contest. "I had already planned to use some revolutionary new developments, but I am going to keep them secret. The design of the stage for Eurovision-2017 will be unique and different from previous shows," he added.

The contest, announced by NTU, received four applications, the Wieder Design company has won. The decision was approved by the European Broadcasting Union.

Stage design for "Eurovision-2017" will be made public in February.

43 countries confirmed its participation in 62nd "Eurovision" international song contest, which will be held in spring of 2017 in the capital of Ukraine. Such record number of participants repeated only twice in the history of Eurovision - in 2008 and 2011. Victoria Romanova and Oleksandr Harebin are confirmed to be the executive producers of Eurovision-2017. The semi-finals of Eurovision-2017 in Kyiv will be held on May 9 and 11, final is scheduled for May 13.
