“The detained demanded a bribe from a limited liability company representative for not filing a lawsuit as to recognizing a contract signed by the company invalid,” the General’s prosecutor Office claimed.

The Chief State Inspector was detained in the proceedings established by Article 208 of Ukraine’s Code of Criminal Procedure, and informed about him being a suspect under Part 3 of Article 368 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (Receiving a bribe in especially great amount by an authorized person in responsible position). Investigators are working on removing the inspector from office, and remanding him in custody.
