Ukraine is currently more interested in military assistance from the United States than in economic support. This was reported in an interview to American The Wall Street Journal by Oleksandr Danylyuk, the Finance Minister of Ukraine.

"Ukraine is currently more interested in receiving assistance from Washington with military supplies and maintenance of economic sanctions against Russia than in obtaining credit guarantees," Finance Ministry Head announced.

Danylyuk has also noted that he is optimistic regarding relations between Kyiv and Trump’s administration, especially after US started tougher policy regarding Russian Federation, which Ukraine sees as threat to Eastern Europe.
