European Parliament will consider granting a visa-free regime for Ukraine today, on April 6. This initiative is stated in the agenda of the European Parliament.

The voting is scheduled for 12:00-14:00 (13:00-15:00 Kyiv time). European Parliament rapporteur on visa-free regime Mariya Gabriel will take the word and report on visa liberalization for Ukraine.

Earlier there were debates regarding visa-free regime for Ukraine ended in European Parliament. Deputies called reform process positive during hostilities in the East.

Most of the MEPs advocated for visa-free regime for Ukraine during the debates, stressing that Ukraine has fulfilled all conditions.

In particular, Michael Gahler, the Member of the European Parliament from Germany and member of Committee on Foreign Affairs, announced that Ukraine embodied not only technical, but also political changes. He stressed that reforms are implemented slowly, but hostilities in the East should be also taken into account.
