EP head wants to visit Ukraine ASAP, - Brok

The head of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani wants to visit Ukraine as soon as possible. This was stated in the letter to Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy, said the ex-head of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“In the letter I gave you, the president says that Ukraine really is a priority for the European Parliament and that the president of the European Parliament wants to visit Ukraine as soon as possible,” Brok said.
As it was noted, the joint briefing of Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy, coordinator of the European Parliament program on increasing the institutional capacity of the Parliament Pat Cox was held today with the participation of the former chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok.
Earlier it was reported that European Parliament voted for visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. Now, it’s up to the Council of Europe to approve the decision.
The government of Ukraine welcomed the fact that the European Parliament approved the EU-Ukraine visa-free regime. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that in the commentary on the issue, published at the authority’s website.
