Egypt starts anti-dumping investigation on steel rebar import from Ukraine

Turkey and China are also under investigation

Egypt started an anti-dumping investigation on import of steel re-bars from Ukraine. This was stated by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. Turkey and China are also under investigation.

Egyptian side officially informed Ukraine of the beginning of the investigation on 3 January 2017, the statement of the Ministry of Economy says. The investigation began on December 22, 2016. The exporters, manufacturers and importers have the opportunity to register as participants in the investigation during 30 days.

Two Ukrainian companies that supply goods to Egypt "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" and "Metinvest" feature in the investigation.

"If necessary, the Department of Trade Defense of the Ministry is ready to give advice on this investigation," a statement says.

Earlier it was reported that 29 wagons of roundwood arrested on Transnistria border. Forbidden freight was being transported to Romania.
