Protection of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will insist on conducting the interrogation on high treason case via videoconference. This was reported on air of "112 Ukraine" TV channel by the lawyer of Yanukovych - Vitaliy Serdyuk.

"This process can not be considered as the one that was meant by Lutsenko, because we are talking about granting permission to the investigator to carry out corresponding pre-trial investigation. Actually, the case has no prospects for consideration, since we have not yet passed the first procedural step - presentation of suspicion… We will insist that the court decided to apply a similar procedure by Sviatoshyn court on conducting the questioning via videoconference," he said.

"In the present case a petition will be filed on his behalf (Yanukovych - Ed.), signed by his own hand, on holding his interrogation in terms of this case. He stressed the need for his interrogation in Rostov-on-Don during a video conference, and will now submit a petition to the office as well," the lawyer added.
