After PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced his resignation, the procedure of appointing Volodyrmy Groysman on the position entered its final stage. The current Speaker of Ukrainian parliament has already started forming his team. Groysman noted, that there is a number of very professional candidates for government positions and he insists on their consideration. However, in the evening of April 11, negotiation stalled over candidates for Minister positions and Groysman refused to chair the government.
Secretary of National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov was offered to chair the new Cabinet, but he refused to become the new PM. One more candidate was Yuriy Lutsenko, who announced about his readiness to chair the General Prosecutor’s Office.
