Border guards rescued Czech citizen who wandered for 24 hours in the mountains in Zakarpattia region.. This happened on December 20, 2016.

The border guards of Stuzhytsya department of Chop detachment found a tourist near the Ukrainian-Slovak border. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service.

"The traveler said that he was wandering in the mountains for a day and night and was freezing," the report says.

The violator of the state border only had a domestic passport with him. The man explained that he lives in Prague and was hiking to Slovakia. But during his walk to Kremenets Mountain he lost orientation due to snow cover.

Customs officers brought the citizen of the Czech Republic to the department of Border Guard Service Stuzhytsya and provided first aid. Now the guards are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
