In the United States at least 196 people were arrested during the protests against the election of Donald Trump as US President, Los-Angeles Times said.

Los-Angeles police informed that on the third day of protests 185 people were taken into custody in the state of California in Los-Angeles and 11 people in Auckland.

It is noted that protests were mostly peaceful – the participants were blocking traffic on the street, however some of them drew graffiti on the buildings, threw bottles and launched fireworks.

At the same time, protesters in Auckland set trash cans on fire and drew graffiti on some of the buildings. Police also located one protester with a bag full of Molotov cocktail.

As informed by police, arrests were made by different charges: vandalism, attacking policemen, refusal to move away and alcohol consumption in public.
