250 patrol officers took oath in the city of Sumy, Ukraine, reports press service of National police.

“I look into the eyes of the young people recruited into the new patrol police and I believe, that every one of them will compose a core of police force, trusted by citizens of Ukraine. Police is based on the trust of people. Perhaps, they have a lot to learn, but this is our patrol police. They work for us, they work for Ukraine”, - Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.

“This is a very hard work with many obligations. But when I look at these police officers, when I talk to them, I forget about the difficulties. They are the future of our country, the future of National police”, - Head of National police Khatia Dekanoidze.

Sumy is the 24th city of Ukraine where the new patrol police has started work.

Shortly, patrol police will start operating in Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk and Mariupol.
