The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Vice Prime Minister for European Integration Ivanna Klympush Tsintsadze, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, the First Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko, European Council President Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean -Klod Junker, the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz will attend the summit.
The arrival of the Ukrainian delegation is expected at 12:00 Kyiv time, according to the correspondent.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Vice-President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič and Valdis Dombrovskis and EU Commissioners Johannes Hahn, Cecilia Malmström and Dimitris Avramopulos will also be at the plenary working lunch.
A number of important issues except visa liberalization will be considered at the summit, such as the issue of Minsk agreements, anti-Russian sanctions extension, economic issues, including implementation of the Association Agreement on free trade, the prospects of concluding other agreements and the question of ratification by the Netherlands of the Association Agreement, describes Ukraine Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mariana Betsa.
"There is discussion going on between three parties EU-Ukraine-Netherlands to complete the process of ratification of the Association Agreement. We are trying to find a compromise to take the interests of the Netherlands into account, given the negative outcome of the referendum and the interests of Ukraine and the EU," said Betsa.
Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko and Tusk coordinated approaches to complete ratification process early. The interlocutors discussed the status of preparation for Ukraine-EU summit, which will take place on November 24 in Brussels.
