The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman congratulated their French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on the national holiday Bastille Day.

“With all my heart I congratulate Emmanuel Macron, France and French people on the national holiday – Bastille Day,” Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page

Ukraine’s PM Volodymyr Groysman also congratulated the France.

“With all my heart I congratulate Emmanuel Macron, France and French people on the national holiday – Bastille Day. This day is a symbol of unity and strength of mind of the French people. I wish success and prosperity to Emmanuel Macron and every French man,” the head of Ukraine’s government wrote on his Facebook page.

Bastille Day is France's national day, it marks one of the most symbolic moments of the French Revolution - the end of the regime of absolute monarchy - and had political implications which sent shockwaves through Europe.
