President Petro Poroshenko said that the Ukrainian side is negotiating with the European Union to abolish charges for mobile roaming for Ukrainians in the EU. Poroshenko announced this at the opening of the concert at the European Square dedicated to the introduction of visa-free travel, event was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

"I can tell one more pleasant thing: in my negotiations with the EU leadership and with the leaders of the member countries, we directed our efforts to the abolition of the roaming charges for Ukrainians in the territory of the EU," Poroshenko said.

He also noted that authorities are working to introduce affordable transport links between Ukraine and the EU, attracting low cost airlines, increasing the capabilities of border checkpoints.

As reported, on April 26, the EU ambassadors approved the visa-free regime for Ukraine, on May 11 a similar decision was supported by the Council of the European Union.
