Ukraine is not going to become a migration danger for EU after the introduction of the visa-free regime. Hugh Mingarelli, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine expressed such opinion during the interview to Interfax-Ukraine.

‘We are really glad that the decision of the visa liberalization was made because Ukraine deserves it. We hope that a lot of Ukrainians will be able to visit 30 countries without the visa. They will arrive for business, study, tourism, so we really expect to get the mutual benefit from the new regime. But we cannot treat this as a threat, because the Ukrainians are the possibility for EU, they cannot be a threat’, he noted.

Mingarelli reminded that all Ukrainians who have the biometric passports can use all advantages of the visa-free regime regardless the place they live.

Viktor Nazarenko, the Head of the State Border Guard Service reported that their Service is ready for the visa-free regime to come into force.
