The trade part of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement has increased trade between Ukraine and the EU by 25% in 2016, as President of the European Council Donald Tusk informed during the 19th EU-Ukraine Summit, broadcasted by 112.UA Channel.

“Yesterday the EU finalized the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. It will enter into force on September 1. The provisional application of the trade part that entered into force last year has already increased our trade by 25%. The fully ratified agreement will allow us to further strengthen our cooperation and to deepen political association and economic integration of Ukraine with the EU,” he said.

As it was reported earlier, the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement was ratified July 11. Celebrating this long-anticipated in Ukraine occasion, EU-Ukraine Summit is taking place in Kyiv today.
