According to him, EP majority is eager to give visa-free regime for Ukrainians

Within the framework of intensive consultations on the ratification of the Association Agreement the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz. This was reported in the press service of the President’s Administration.

Poroshenko stressed that all the possibilities for the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union should be used.

In turn, Schulz noted that the European Parliament is on the side of Ukraine, and also confirmed that the European Parliament has the majority to provide a visa-free regime for Ukrainians.

The two sides agreed to continue contacts for effective coordination.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Head of State also held telephone conversations with the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and President of the European Council Donald Tusk.
