Ukraine's position on sanctions against Russia will be confirmed before the December EU summit. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at a press conference, which was broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"We call for the immediate release of all hostages both on occupied territory, and in the prisons of the Russian Federation, the acceleration of the implementation of the Minsk agreements. We strongly condemn the delay of the Russian Federation to fulfill its commitments within the framework of the Minsk process. In this context, we have noted that the sanctions must remain as long as Russia does not comply with the Minsk agreement and full sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine is not restored, including the Crimea", said Poroshenko.

He hopes that the European Union will clearly confirm this position before the December EU summit.

"Our position on sanctions is very clear. The sanctions are associated with a full embodiment of the Minsk agreements. The European Council took the decision in March 2015, and it still works. I hope that we will solve the issue of sanctions before the European Council meeting in December", the head of the European Council Donald Tusk added.
