The European Parliament postponed consideration of granting Ukraine visa-free regime to February 1, 2017. This was reported on the website of the European Parliament.

According to the report, consideration of a visa-free regime Ukraine was postponed from January 18 to February 1, 2017. The issue will be considered by MEPs in the first reading.

Earlier, according to the correspondent of "Radio Liberty" Rikard Jozwiak, a debate on the issue of suspension of the visa-free regime will be held in the European Parliament on December 14, and the vote is scheduled for December 15th. After addressing this issue, MEPs should begin to consider the issue of granting a visa-free regime for Ukraine.

After the approval of the document on suspension of the visa-free regime in the European Parliament, it will be submitted for the approval of the EU Council. According to the experts, depending on how quickly the decisions will be taken in Brussels, there is hope that the visa-free regime for Ukraine will start to work at the beginning of 2017.
