Commissioner for EU Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn said this before the meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs (Ukrinform).
“This week, we will get positive reports and recommendations regarding the issue of visa liberalization", Hahn said, speaking about European Commission’s reports on the progress made in this area by Ukraine and Georgia.
Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry Linas Linkevicius also stressed his confidence regarding the canceling of visas for Ukrainian and Georgian citizens. According to him, both countries showed tangible progress in the visa-free dialogue with the EU.
The official added that the decision to extend sanctions against Russia will be made by the consensus.
