EU ready to assign EUR 100 mln to fill Ukraine’s energy efficiency fund
European Commissioner Maros Sefcovic said this during his phone conversation with Ukraine’ PM Volodymyr Groysman
The EU is ready to allocate 100 million Euros to support development of Ukraine’s energy sector, namely to fill the country’s energy efficiency fund. The Ukrainian government’s press service reported that on Tuesday evening.
The issue was discussed during the telephone conversation between Maroš Šefčovič, European Commissioner for Energy Union and Ukraine’s Premier Volodymyr Groysman. The sides came to conclusion that the Ukrainian Parliament needs to pass laws about the Energy Efficiency Fund, electric energy market and state regulator authority in energy sector.
Groysman and Šefčovič discussed further cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, specifically the issue of gas supplies for Ukrainian and European consumers. The Ukrainian Prime Minister reiterated that his country remains a reliable partner in terms of transporting gas to EU member countries.
