Zorya Luhansk, formerly known as Zorya Voroshilovgrad, plays its games at “Slavutych-Arena” in Zaporizhia, due to the war in the Eastern Ukraine.
As was reported August 20, football fans of Zorya and Polish hoolies (Legia Warsaw) organised a brutal mass brawl in the very heart of Kyiv, at Maidan Nazalezhnosti Square, on the eve of Zorya Luhansk vs. Legia Warsaw match. Polish fans were sitting in a local pub, while Ukrainian fans were trying to come close to the Poles. The football fans used smoke bombs during the conflict. Police managed to haul the boys to the opposite sides of the street, but some people were wounded though. One Polish fan was arrested by local police for attacking Ukrainian journalist.
