Ukrainian athletes Iryna Herashchenko and Yuliya Levchenko took winning places on international competitions Banskobystricka latka in Slovak town of Banska Bystrica. Herashchenko took first place, Levchenko – second. The competition took place on February 8. The competition is a part of International High Jump Tour.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Athletic Federation.

Herashchenko became the only participant of the competition who has reached 1,93 meter height. She took it from her second attempt. This is the record of the Olympic Games finalist, the message says.

Yuliya Levchenko took the height of 1,89 meters, the same as the Olympics champion Ruth Beitia from the first try. Unlike the Spain athlete she did not make mistakes on preceding heights.

Earlier it was reported about biathlon competition: Ukraine’s Dzhyma won gold in women’s sprint of European championship. The biathlete never missed a single shot in the entire event.
