Pavlo Altukhov, Ukraine’s canoe rower, finished fifth in his event on Tuesday, as the Summer Olympic Games in Rio are underway.

The country’s National Olympic Committee reported that the athlete went the distance in 4,01,587 minutes. The gold went to Germany’s Sebatian Brendell (3,56,926). Brazilian Isaquias Queiroz and Moldovan Sergei Tarnosvky claimed silver and bronze, respectively.
