‘We’re glad to have won silver in the sabre fencing team event, and bringing it back to Ukraine, I’m very glad that we got them in first place’, Olga Kharlan, Ukraine’s Olympic champion and the leader of women’s sabre fencing team, said in interview with 112 Ukraine TV channel.

‘Of course, one wished to go to Tokyo…as soon as the Olympics are over, you already think about the next ones. Four years is a lot of time, and God knows what could happen during this period. We’ve all worked hard to earn these medals. We sincerely believed we’d get them, eventually’, Kharlan said, adding that struggling for bronze was the toughest part in the entire Olympics.
