A presentation of the Ukraine’s national team uniform for the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro took place on July 12 in Kyiv, the official website of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reports.
Ukrainian designer Andre Tan is the author of the collection. Tan created and patented the original print called “Diamond Ukraine” to make this collection. Print shows the many facets of our country. Wrestler Zhan Beleniuk, gymnasts Ganna Rizatdinova, Yevgeniya Gomon, Valeriia Gudym, Anastasiya Voznyak, Olexandra Grydasova, Olena Dmytrash, judokas Georgii Zantaraia, Yakiv Hammo, Kedzhau Njabali, heptathlete Hanna Kasyanova and decathlete Oleksiy Kasyanov, swimmer Daryna Zevina, high jumpers Yuliya Levchenko and Iryna Gerashchenko were the models for the sport kit.
The representatives from the show business also took part in the presentation: Ukrainian TV host Olexandr Pedan, showman and radio host Andriy Djedjula, Ukrainian singer Olexandr Sydorenko, Winner of Voice Ukraine Igor Grohotskyi and the Latino dance master Amador Lopez.
"202 Ukrainian athletes won the right to represent our country at the 2016 Games. There are no trifles in such a responsible start of the Olympics. As they say, people judge you by appearances. Therefore we are very pleased that our team will look great and feel comfortable in Rio", the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine President Sergiy Bubka said.
