Vasyl Lomachenko, Ukraine’s two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-division world champion, expects a tough bout against the undefeated Nicholas Walters. Fightnews.com quoted him as saying on November 22, as the boxers gave the pre-match press conference.
‘I think it is going to be very, very hard for me in the first four rounds, then after that I will be trying to terminate the bout. This is a very important bout for me because many boxing experts and many people in boxing rank Walters as the highest-rated fighter in our division. He is a very hard puncher and a very good boxer and for me it’s a very important thing to me to fight the best and it’s very important for me because everyone says he is a very good fighter. I wanted to let different people know, people outside of boxing, to know me. I think the boxing game is one that people have forgotten about and they are not enjoying it as much. I want to bring back and show how interesting boxing can be,’ Lomachenko said.
The bout between Lomachenko and Walters is slated for November 26.
