Midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka, the leader of Ukraine’s national team who currently plays for Sevilla FC, shared his doubts about his future in the Spanish club.
‘I don’t feel like telling about it right now; for now, I stay in Sevilla and I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. I guess I’ll find out soon what’s going on. You see, the transfer window is now opened. I should just talk to the management and figure out whether they need me or they don’t need me. That’s how the things go with all players here in Sevilla – one day you play, and the other you don’t. I can’t figure this out right now; and guessing – that’s not really my thing. I’ve got to talk to coaches. If I give up now, it’d mean I lose. And I don’t feel like losing. It only makes me stronger’, Konoplyanka said in his interview with Football 1 TV channel.
The talented winger, Yevhen Konoplyanka left Dnipro FC and joined Sevilla in 2015; since then, he has so far scored 4 goals in 32 games. In March 2016, the Ukrainian media wondered whether he's stay in Sevilla or switch the team again, as the management was unstable in terms of putting him in the starting XI - or the line-up at all.
