After negotiations with a number of experts, the Football Association’s management chose Sam Allardyce, who currently has been working with Sunderland (The Telegraph). Among other candidates, there were Steve Bruce, Eddie Howe, Jurgen Klinsmann and Arsen Wenger. The latter turned down the offer as terms of his current contract with Arsenal won’t let him work with any other team.

Previously, Sam Allardyce worked as the head coach of Blackpool, Notts County, Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United, Blackburn and West Ham United.
