Chinese Police took into custody 236 people suspected of organizing online football totalizators during Euro 2016. Newsru.com reports this, citing the Ministry of Public Security in China.

The betting is banned in China.

The lawbreakers accepted bets on matches of European Football Championship in France. The authorities withdrew 28 million Yuan (3.8 million euro) in total. The police launched a criminal charge against the detainees, the investigation is underway.
