The coaches of opposing teams addressed the media before the Champions League match which is to take place, in Kyiv, NSC “Olimpiyskiy” stadium today, October 20, on 09:45 pm Kyiv time.
Dynamo Kyiv coach Serhiy Rebrov commented on mental condition of the players from the defeat in previous match with Shakhtar.
“I hope our players have recovered mentally from the defeat by Shakhtar. At least, we did everything for that. Along with players we indicated the mistakes and analyzed them. And actually, I am glad we don't have much time to dwell on it: we have to switch attention to another very important match, and I can't imagine who could motivate the players more than Chelsea in a Champions League game in Kyiv" Rebrov said.
In addition, he told about the opponent's playing style and how Dynamo Kyiv can take advantage of that.
"We will try to achieve the level of intensity that they have in the Premier League. In England you don't have more than two or three seconds to think on the pitch. Chelsea are used to that. We've studied their game and Chelsea have lots of good qualities. But they also have problems and we hope to capitalise on that.
In turn, José Mourinho, Chelsea coach, shared his views upon the oncoming clash.
"The most important thing for me now is to change our results. We need to win matches both in the Premier League and the Champions League. We need to get points here to go through to the next stage. Yes, we started the season below expectations, we lost too many matches, but I hope we will improve in terms of results and performance. We don't think about the distance we are from the top. We just want to win the next match," he said.
He added that Chelsea also got all necessary information about Dynamo Kyiv game and noted that the football cultures of Dynamo differs from other Premier League participants .
"I saw Dynamo's defeat by Shakhtar Donetsk [3-0 on Friday] on video and I also sent my assistant to the match. We have also analysed Dynamo's games against Porto and Maccabi Tel-Aviv, so we have all the necessary information. I cannot compare Dynamo to any Premier League side because they have completely different football cultures," Mourinho told.
