Over the sixth day of Paralympics in Rio, Ukrainian athletes won 5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals. That makes 72 awards in total (27 gold – 21 silver – 24 bronze), which lets the team surely hold on to the third place in the overall medal count. Thus, Ukraine only concedes to China (63 – 51 – 33) and the United Kingdom (34 – 18 – 22).

So far, the last gold award in Ukraine’s medal chest was claimed by long jumper Oksana Zubovska. She is the leader of the world’s Paralympic movement in this kind of sport; her 2012 record of Paralympic Games in London is so far unbeaten.
