2016 Paralympics in Rio: Ukraine claims 92 medals after eight days of competitions

Ukrainian swimmers took four awards in 50 m backstroke events on Thursday

Hennadiy Boyko won gold in the backstroke swimming event in 2016 Rio Paralympics (1.00.85). Anton Kol (1.15.42), Serhiy Palamarchuk (50.23) and Iryna Sotska (1.17.22) claimed bronze in their events as well.

Thus, by the end of Day 8, the Ukrainian team has claimed 92 awards (35 gold, 27 silver and 30 bronze). Currently, the team is ranked third in the overall medal count, losing only to China and the UK.
