Both Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars mark the tragedy’s anniversary on May 18

“On May 18, 1944, employees of the NKVD (Soviet secret police, - 112 International) came to houses of Crimean Tatars and claimed that they will be deported from Crimea due to “treason”(alleged collaboration with the Nazi regime, - 112 International)”, reads the message under the video.

The video was taken from Facebook account of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry.
