The information was announced by experts of Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB).
It it’s a business association which represents interests of leading companies of the Ukrainian agro-food sector.
In January-November 2015 Ukraine imported 59 thousand tons of meet in comparison to 85,6 thousand tons last year.
Percentage says that about 93% of this number is taken by by-products and poultry. Interesting to observe that import of poultry stays on the same level as it was last year – 54, 6 thousand tons.
Shortage of import easily can be explained by shortage of demand on meat and devaluation of grivna.
Experts spill out facts: Next year meat will become more expensive.
“Producers have no other way. They have to calculate all the expenses. Probable increase of price expected for about 5-7 percent” – explains analytic Boris Kyshniruk.
