Minimal price of a ride makes 40 Ukrainian hryvnas (about one and a half U.S. dollar). The tariff includes cab service, the price of ride per kilometer and the price of ride per minute.

First references about Uber Technologies intending to enter the Ukrainian market showed up in late 2015. At the time, the service offering job to taxi drivers in Kyiv.

In February 2016, taxi drivers gathered on a demonstration in Kyiv demanding the official recognition of taxi as city public transport. Some also expressed dissatisfaction and concern over the launch of Uber in Kyiv; some drivers said they are fine with that as long as this company operates within legal frameworks.

Uber is an applet for smartphones designed for searching and calling taxi. The company was founded in San Francisco in 2009. Currently, the service works in 476 cities across the globe.
