Police found a group of 16 migrants in wet clothes at the beach in Calabria on Thursday, June 9. They came out of the sailboat, which tried to escape from the police officers. “Evropeyskaya Pravda” reports this.

After a short pursuit police stopped the boat with two Ukrainians on board. They seized the boat and detained the citizens of Ukraine. The group of migrants consisted of two children, six women and eight men, who identified themselves as citizens of Syria and started their journey in Turkey. Now the police carry out investigations to find out to what kind of organization these Ukrainians belong.
