The court arrests SBU anti-corruption detective caught on bribery

Pechersky district court put the SBU anti-corruption senior detective in custody with the bail of $44 000 , detained on a bribe of $1 000, reported by the press-service of the military procurator's office of the central region of Ukraine.

The man was notified of suspicion in improper advantage with extortion under the respective article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The detained extorted a subject of the business activity a $1 000 bribe to return his appliances, ceased before. He also demanded $300 monthly for nonresistance into his business activity.

As it was reported earlier, Germany will contribute to Ukraine another bailout package of €72 million. These funds are supposed to assist Ukraine's economic development, energy efficiency programs and assistance to internally displaced persons.
