Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe Dmitry Kuleba handed the letter from Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, accused in Russia of espionage, to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland. Kuleba wrote this on Twitter.

"I gave a letter from Roman Sushchenko sent from Lefortovo to Council of Europe Secretary General. The detained journalist stressed that the release of Ukrainian political prisoners must be the CE priority", Kuleba said.

Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, who works for Ukrinform news agency, was found in pre-trial detention facility of Lefortovo prison (Moscow). Open Russia, the group of Russian human rights activists, reported this at their official website on Sunday night.
