“If a referendum on Ukraine’s NATO membership took place now, the relative majority of Ukrainians (44 percent) would vote “yes”. 26 percent would oppose the decision. At the same time, 31 percent of those surveyed would not participate in such referendum”, reads the message at the Centre’s website.

The survey says that most supporters of Ukraine’s membership in NATO reside in central (70 percent) and western (49 percent) regions of Ukraine. Residents of eastern Ukraine mostly oppose the idea (44 percent of surveyed respondents in this region).
