Suicide bomber blows himself up in Ansbach, Germany

27-year-old Syrian attempted to join local music festival

According to the AP, previously the local authorities refused to provide the Syrian national sanctuary. He tried to merge with the crowd at the local music festival Ansbach Open, with about 2,000 people present. As he failed to do so he blew himself up near a restaurant.    

The suicide bomber suffered fatal wounds and passed away soon after the explosion, which wounded another 12 people; three of them are in critical condition (DW).
