On February 3 hall of Taras Shevchenko National museum, which hosted the presentation of a multimedia project “Heroes”, was full. People came to see stories of young and handsome men, who protected Ukraine.

Solomiya Vitvitska, host at “1+1” TV channel, created and monitored the project, which involves a photo exhibition, TV programs and special edition of “VIVA” magazine. Heroes of the project are – young men, who experienced war, and continue to live without a limb, replacing it with prostheses.

Pity is the last thing one feels looking at glossy black and white photos. They radiate confidence and generate admiration.

Presentation of the project resembles a mutual birthday party – people congratulate each other and share gifts. Psychologists claim physical condition doesn’t affect emotional quality of life. These young man dream of travelling and they will set off on a journey, since tour agencies and magazines present them with free tours. Each member of the project received annual gym membership card.

Emotional peak of the evening was a public proposal of one of project members Viktor Kardash to his girlfriend Olia.
