Eight sailors, including one Ukrainian and seven Russians, are held captive by pirates in territorial waters of Nigeria

The pirates who captured eight sailors – one Ukrainian and seven Russians – in the territorial waters of Nigeria are now negotiating with the group of authorized envoys. Vasyl Kyrylych, the Chief of Consulate Support Department of the State Consulate Service at Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry, reported that in his commentary for Radio Liberty.

‘The negotiating group set contacts with the kidnappers. The pirates stated their demands and confirmed that the crew of BBC Carribean feels fine.

As 112 International reported, one Ukrainian citizen and another seven Russians were kidnapped during the pirate raid on a civilian vessel in the territorial waters of Nigeria.
